REVIEW by Jena: Dead(ish) by Naomi Kramer (@nomesquefiction)

Linda’s had a bad day. First, her boyfriend killed her. Then she woke up, still on this boring plane of existence, and with an odd obsession about her missing body. Mike won’t tell her what he did with her body, and she can’t find the stupid thing herself. There’s only one thing she can do – torment the bastard until he coughs up the information.

Oh. My. Gawd. My sister recommended this little gem to me and I immediately went out and got it. Then it sat on my Kindle shelves for, like, EVER. Well, I am on a reading tear today and decided to finally read it. I laughed my ass off the whole way!!

There isn’t really much opportunity for character development as this one is so short but the characters that we get the pleasure of meeting are super funny. The ghost of Linda is stuck here until she can find her body. To pass the time until Mike gives up the goods, she tortures him in the most creative ways you could imagine.

This one is a super fast read and you will laugh all the way. I only wish it had been longer!!

5 stars to Dead(ish). The end of the Kindle book (which is FREE, by the way) has a blurb from the follow up story ‘(technically) Dead’ and that one looks just as good!!

  1. I never read books like this! The cover is too cutesie and the title is too, the words that come to my mind are from my time, I don’t know what is currently politically correct (as if I give a crap about being politically correct) but, it’s too “valley girl”. But trying to be polite I read the review and thought “holy crap, this sounds good!” I bought it and it will probably be my next read after I finish UFOs and the National Security State. A real seat gripper! To get some points I told my wife I bought her a good book. Why are women so suspicious? I told her, the shipping is free! Get over it! Anyway, we both think it will be a good read.
