USUALLY DISASTER DIDN’T STRIKE QUITE SO CLOSE TO HOME…
It has been a busy few weeks for Private Kaylin Neva. In between angling for a promotion, sharing her room with the last living female Dragon and dealing with more refugees than anyone knew what to do with, the unusual egg she’d been given was ready to hatch. Actually, that turned out to be lucky, because it absorbed the energy from the bomb that went off in her quarters….
So now might be the perfect time to leave Elantra and journey to the West March with the Barrani. If not for the disappearances of citizens in the fief of Tiamaris-disappearances traced to the very Barrani Kaylin will be traveling with
An unforgettable series! Don’t miss this one.
Ms Sagara invites you into her wonderful world and you won’t want to
leave. This series is so very unique compared to all other offerings
Cast in Peril begins almost immediately after Cast in Ruin ends.
Kaylin is receiving her deportment lessons in preparation for meeting
the Emperor. Nightshade has other plans as he ensures Kaylin will be
accompanying him and some of the court on a trip to the West March.
What a trip it is!! Ms Sagara’s imagination is simply unbelievable.
All the world building and attention to the smallest detail is
incomparable to other novels I’ve read. It’s intricate, exciting, and,
and ….words just fail me.
I sometimes wonder if this series is young adult or not. I finally
figured out it doesn’t matter. Kaylin has had so much happen to her,
she seems adult but you have to remind yourself occasionally exactly
how old she is.
Give the Cast Series a fair chance and you’ll become enchanted. I
recommend this series to everyone. Young, old, male or female or
somewhere in between all that. Unfortunately for me, I read so fast
that now I have a while to wait. It’s worth it though.
(I just found out Cast in Peril has been nominated by Romantic Times
as a finalist in the Fantasy Category)
My rating: 5 Stars.
