REVIEW by Amy: Turning Point (Kathleen Turner #3) by Tiffany A Snow – Released TODAY! (@tiffanyasnow , @Miss_UofK)

After her promotion from law firm Runner to Investigator, Kathleen Turner is learning the ropes of her new job from none other than assassin-for-hire Kade Dennon, a situation her boyfriend Blane Kirk is none too happy about. But the lessons with Kathleen take a back seat when Kade becomes a target. Previously untouchable, his enemies now know of the chink in his armor – his brother’s girlfriend.

And Kade’s not the only thing coming between Kathleen and Blane. From Blane’s inexplicable defense of a man guilty of a horrible crime, to a mysterious stranger from Kathleen’s past, to Kathleen’ risky investigation into human traffickers, the obstacles mount against a relationship that’s just begun to find trust again.

While Blane considers a job offer that would take him back to the front lines in the war on terror, Kathleen is determined to pursue her new career, with or without his approval. Unfortunately, her current case is far more dangerous than anyone knows. Someone close to Blane will go to extreme lengths to split them up, lengths that may prove worse than death for Kathleen.

Kathleen, Blane and Kade must atone for the sins of the past and the present. The fallout will force Kathleen to a turning point…in her career, and her life.

‘Turning Point’ is the third installment in the Kathleen Turner Series by Tiffany A. Snow. To say that I simply like the series would be an extreme understatement. Spellbound may be a more suitable word to describe my fixation. Honestly, what’s not to love? You have provocative, wealthy, attractive, and at times dangerous men, mixed with heart stopping action and allure from beginning to end, while a steamy love triangle brews in the mist. Irresistible, right?

The Band-Aid has been ripped off in this series so to speak, and everyone is exposed, one-way or another including Kathleen in a most extreme and vicious way. Her ability and capacity to lend a helping hand to anyone in need regardless of her own safety is awe-inspiring, but her decision has sent her into a deep and dark reality. The circumstance has left her transparent, mentally scarred, and well, broken. In an attempt to hide her emotions, she replaces her hurt and misery with anger and disconnect which seems to be working, for now.

Kade is his usual confident, cocky self, with his snarky comebacks and one-liners that have you arching a brow and blushing, while simultaneously fanning yourself and covering your mouth in an attempt to quiet an escaped giggle. He makes mistakes, but I like Kade more now than I did previously, if that’s even possible. His ‘sexy and he knows it’ attitude is infectious and you can’t help but hope that good things come to those who wait.

Blane’s diligence with his up and coming career leaves less room for sense and sensibility. He is unknowingly sabotaging himself due to his lack of observation in the lives of people around him. Career advancement may come at a high price as things fall apart around him. Trust is a tough issue with anyone, but he will soon find out that things may not always be what they seem. There are two sides to every story……

History repeats itself as secrets are kept and information is given on a ‘need to know’ basis, and we all know that’s never good for any relationship.

Tiffany leaves us hanging in the worst way at the end, thankfully she gives us a sneak peak at the forth installment ‘Out of Turn.’ I am grateful as it’s helped my insatiable need to know, but as I hit the last page of the chapter, I realize it’s never enough. Therefore, I am left to speculate the many possibilities of what is yet to come. The Forth installment in the Kathleen Turner Series ‘Out of Turn’ releases in December.

My favorite quotes:

“It’s been six weeks. If Blane hasn’t sealed the deal by now, its open season.”

“I’m a lot of things, but I’m never boring.”

“I’ve heard of barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen, but I think I like this better.”

“I’m the bad guy princess. Catch me.”

“Neither Blane nor I are your happily-ever-after princess. Blane will break your heart, and I’m the guy your mom warned you about. Don’t kid yourself about that.”

I give ‘Turning Point’ 5 stars!
