REVIEW by Dolly: A Celtic Witch (A Modern Witch Series, #6) by Deborah Geary (@fidget78)

Cassidy Farrell is a world-class Celtic fiddler. And if she has her way, that’s exactly who she’ll stay.

Except that’s not what the rocks have in mind. Or a certain fetching spell. Or the truth working its way free in her own heart.

Can the music, and perhaps a certain grumpy curmudgeon and his baby girl, help Cass find her life’s new song?

Marcus’ story!! I’ve loved Marcus from his first appearance in the series. He actually reminds me of my husband. A bit abrupt, grumpy and at his core, a warm, caring and gentle person.

Cassidy is a famous Celtic fiddler. She travels the majority of the year except when she takes several weeks just for herself and her music. No adoring crowds in large impersonal venues, just the “villages” of true musicians of the heart and soul. Essentially she goes back to her roots to recharge for her tour schedule.

Cassidy’s magic is “old magic”. You’ll need to read the book to get the explanation for this. Her magic comes out in her music. It’s fascinating and calming to many troubled souls. Speaking of fascinating; from their first glance at each other Cassidy and Marcus are connected. And that’s all I’m saying about it.

Some might think after six books, the series might become stale. So far from the truth. Each and every novel in A Modern Witch Series is fresh and captivating. I don’t think anyone who reads this series can NOT become invested in the characters, the issues and overall, the pure joy of life and its struggles.

I look forward to each and every book written by Ms Geary, as does her large fan base. I know she’s going to take me places I never thought to go!

My rating: 4.5 Stars
