Good afternoon. We’ve been getting a lot of questions on how exactly our Unlimited PR Packages work, so we figured we’d give a little breakdown.
The Unlimited PR package is perfect for those of you with a heavy release schedule, a large catalog of published titles, or maybe you’re just ready to go on a promotion binge in an attempt to boost sales or build your audience.
There are three options for the The Unlimited PR package – 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months. During that time period, you have unlimited use of our PR services. Have a new release? Pop an email over to us to schedule a blitz. Got a sale coming up? Shoot an email over to let us know and we’ll schedule a blitz and add your sale to the Pure Textuality PR Post emails for the length of your sale. Need some promo graphics or artwork for getting swag made? Drop an email. Whatever PR needs you have, just shoot us an email and we can take care of it.
We do not require exclusivity. When you buy an Unlimited PR Package, we do not require that you only use us for PR. Some authors or publishers are very particular about having the freedom to promote with more than one company, and we understand that.
The way authors have to market in this industry is constantly changing. New ideas for marketing a book are tested every day. As the market changes, so do we. We are constantly trying out new ways to put your book in front of readers and we are always willing to listen to ideas you want to try out. As an Unlimited PR Package client, you are offered first dibs on spots in promotions we try out (i.e. giveaways to build newsletter audiences, promotional anthologies, etc.) at no additional cost.
So what does it include?
As I mentioned, during your package time period, you have unlimited use of our PR services. What you’ll find here is a list of the most common options our clients use and what each entails.
Social Media PR – We draft up 4-7 tweets per standalone title or series to add to our automatic Twitter rotation. Our account tweets out every 45-55 minutes so your tweets will usually come up at least once every 24-48 hours. Our tweets are automatically fed to our Facebook fanpage, and from there we share them across 3 Facebook profiles, 3 Facebook groups we own, and 130-170 Facebook book promotion groups (10-20 groups every few days to avoid spamming). Posts for your books are also shared on Google+, however, this will soon be phased out as we see very minimal clicks from Google+.
Review Solicitation – If you have a book you need reviews on, we will send a spotlight email out to our blogger list requesting reviewers. A landing page is built on the PTPR website and the link with a call for reviewers is shared across 3 Facebook profiles, our Facebook fanpage, our Twitter profile, 3 Facebook groups we own, and 16 Facebook book blogger groups. Delivery of the review copy is up to the author. We offer secure direct-to-kindle delivery (you send us a mobi file and we take care of it from there), but you’re not required to provide them that way. Some authors (and most publishers) use NetGalley. In that case, our email and shared posts would include a link to your NetGalley listing. Some authors prefer to handle the review copy delivery themselves. In that case, we would share the review copy request form’s response sheet with you, and you’d be responsible for delivery.
1-Day Promo Blitzes & Cover Reveals – We create a landing page on the PTPR website which includes a booking form. At the same time, we create a HeadTalker campaign (a free social media support crowdsourcing platform) set to launch on the day of the blitz or cover reveal. Once the campaign is approved and live, we send a share request out to our blogger mailing list, complete with the HeadTalker link, plain text posting materials, a premade HTML blog post, a pre-typed Facebook post, a pre-typed Tweet, and the accompanying promotional graphics. A link to the landing page is then shared across 3 Facebook profiles, our Facebook fanpage, our Twitter profile, 3 Facebook groups we own, and 16 Facebook book blogger groups, and it’s added to our regular Twitter rotation (which feeds to our Facebook fanpage) until the date of the blitz.
5-Day Review Tours – This is something we offer exclusively to Unlimited PR Package clients. A traditional blog tour specifically to accrue reviews. The tours are run Monday through Friday, and we never schedule two tours running on the same week (in an attempt to keep blogger response high). We create a landing page on the PTPR website which includes a review request form. At the same time, we create a HeadTalker campaign (a free social media support crowdsourcing platform) set to launch on the third day of the tour. Once the campaign is approved and live, we send a tour booking out to our blogger mailing list, complete with the HeadTalker link, plain text posting materials, a premade HTML blog post, and the accompanying promotional graphics. A few days prior to the launch of the tour, we will update the book’s landing page to remove the booking form and replace it with an excerpt, the author’s bio/links, and the author’s bookshelf. The HeadTalker campaign message will point to this page.
Various Promotional Graphics – Graphics include author branding logos, promo graphics for standalones or series, website banners, Facebook cover photos, Twitter header banners, sale graphics, and much more. If you’re in a pinch, we are also able to create ebook covers and paperback flats, either made by Jena Gregoire of Pure Textuality PR (no extra cost), or we can book you a referral with ShoutLines Design at a discounted price from their normal rate ($60 for ebook only, $85 for ebook and paperback flat).
