REVIEW by Beth : The Doorknob Society (Doorknob Society Saga #1) by MJ Fletcher (@fletch125 , @bunnybetha)

Chloe Masters’s world changes in a heartbeat and all she did was touch a doorknob.

Illusions are part of Chloe’s everyday life, her father being a renowned magician, but how do you make sense of traveling through dimensions with the touch of a doorknob? There’s much for her to learn at the Paladin Academy, a school for her kind. What her kind is she would like to know.

And who better to teach her then some of the characters that go there and belong to the various Societies. She makes a select group of friends and she soon learns just how much she doesn’t know about her family and about herself.

She turns to her new friends for help when her dad disappears but she also must ask for help from a student at the Academy who is anything but a friend. He’s irritating and some say dangerous but she has no choice, she must get James Nightshade to help her.  He agrees, but there’s a price to pay and she realizes too late how much it will cost her.

REVIEW by Heather: The Mapmaker’s Union (Doorknob Society #3) by M.J. Fletcher (@fletch125, @_shoe_girl_)

Chloe Masters has a death wish, at least according to her friends. Still reeling from the loss of one of those closest to her she is living life on the edge. One by one she is pushing everyone away. Leaving her with the very person who betrayed her… Faith.

Her memories still locked away by the Forget Me Not, can Chloe discover the truth before she loses everyone she loves?

INTERVIEW by M.J. Fletcher: Edgar Magnus of the Mapmaker’s Union (@fletch125)

Message from Jena:  As part of his blog tour, M.J. Fletcher has stopped by today to do a character interview!

My name is MJ Fletcher and I am the writer of The Doorknob Society Saga. I’m sitting in the Cape Beanery in Cape May, NJ. It’s a rather balmy night waiting for my interview subject to arrive, Edgar Magnus of The Mapmakers Union. One of the supporting, and it must be said, most popular characters in The Doorknob Society. Val has brought me a cup of her special blend of coffee and has been bending my ear with nonstop chatter ever since. “Edgar really is rather odd, I mean he is nice and all in his own way. But odd like a square peg in a round hole type.” She smiles in spite of her self and is busily playing with her curly hair as she speaks to me.

REVIEW by Heather: The Impossible Engineers (Doorknob Society Saga #2) by MJ Fletcher (@_Shoe_Girl_ , @Fletch125)

James Nightshade has been on Chloe’s mind since the day she met him. Arrogant and frustrating, she thought she had put him behind her when she chose Michael Slade.
When the secret she is seeking leads to questions about the death of Nightshade’s former girlfriend, she has no chose but to bring him into the investigation. A move she will come to regret.
Danger awaits them around every corner as they search for answers. In the end a choice will need to be made, but is Chloe strong enough to make it?

GUEST POST: The Doorknob Society and a Brain Tumor by MJ Fletcher

“It’s a brain tumor.”
You might be wondering what that sentence has to do with creating the Doorknob Society, everything really. The idea for DS came about a few years ago when I was annoyed with the choices I had for my daughter regarding female characters in books. I wanted her to have someone she could identify with and experience wonderful journeys alongside. So Chloe Masters, was born and from her the Doorknob Society.
